This little plugin makes an animation that looks like a flag fluttering
in the wind from any given (single layer) image. This one requires gimp with perl-support.

G'MIC plug-in

The G'MIC plug-in for GIMP defines a set of various filters, including artistic filters, image denoising and enhancement, 3D renderers, etc.. It is a quite large plug-in, integrating a lot of different effects to apply.

This plug-in is able to update his list of filter definitions from the Internet (so it improves itself over time), as well as allows any user to add its own custom filters in it.
It has been written by the author of the GREYCstoration algorithm (used for image denoising). It is actually intended to replace it in a near future.

Download G'MIC for Windows 32 bits

Download G'MIC for Linux 32 bits.

Download G'MIC for Linux 64 bits.

Download G'MIC for Mac Intel 32 bits.

Here is one screenshot of the plug-in in action, as well as a result of filter application :

Adjoin 2 separate layers into stereo pair

The script is useful to work on the two images of stereo pairs using the gimp, after handling the two images as separate layers during editing, this script can be used to convert two layers back into one stereo image.

This script converts two equal sized layers being positioned above each other, into one stereo image with the two former layers positioned next to each other:
1. the user choses one of two piled layers to be moved to the right of the other layer
2. the script repositions the chosen layer next to the right border of the other layer
3. the canvas is being resized to the size taken by the two layers than
4. finally the top layer is merged down

see also: http://registry.gimp.org/node/8617, my plugin to bisects a stereo image into two layers

Bisect stereo pair into 2 layers

The script is useful to be able to easily compare and edit the two images of a stereo pair in the gimp, by handling the two images as separate layers.

1. This script bisects the two images of a stereo pair to change it into two separate layers.
2. The two layers are piled than by repositioning the right image above the left one
3. the canvas is cropped to the width taken by the two layers (the two stereo pair images) than (cutting the width into halve of the stereo pairs width).

script-fu-make-anaglyph

This program creates stereoscopic 3D anaglyph photos from a stereo pair. In order to make use of this program you will first need a pair of images from slightly different angles or the same object. You then need to place both images as different layers in the same image window in Gimp with the right image as the Bottom layer and the left image as the next layer above it and no other layers in the image (if you use this script in other circumstances then it probably won't work properly). The script finishes leaving the two images as seperate layers so that final alignment adjust ments can be made before merging the layers down and saving the anaglyph.
