GIMP Plugin Registry

So, I've been playing a bit more lately with emulating the effects produced when shooting on some 5 year old Polaroid 600 instant film. I took some shots the other day with it, and it produced these really neat areas of the film where no developer had reached, leaving this strange and interesting splotches of un-developed print behind.

I thought it might be fun to emulate in GIMP, and even better to reproduce the effects with a little script-fu (for practice).

I didn't create the process, I just wrote the script that does everything described in the tutorial!

A simple script that desaturates the image the way different black and white films would. The script is based on information from http://www.prime-junta.net/pont/How_to/100_Curves_and_Films/_Curves_and_....

Updated: ver 1.1 - replaced "Flatten Image" option with the more logical "Work on Copy".

This script-fu makes a sky with millions sparkling stars in a new layer. The layer's dimensions, the star's spikes' length and the flare intensity can be changed. The script is based on this tutorial.
This script is useful for create Space Art images, because the stars are convincing.

This little plugin makes an animation that looks like a flag fluttering
in the wind from any given (single layer) image. This one requires gimp with perl-support.

Example:

This plugin fakes some kind of DRI effect by enchancing the dark parts of a picture and reducing the light parts. After that procedure it enhances the contrast by using the unsharp masking filter.

Because GIMP has no action recorder till now, i wrote this as a simple batch in python ;-).

Tested with GIMP 2.6.x. Should be fine in 2.4.x too.

This plugin adds multiple guidelines to the actual image.
New guides can be simply added by pressing the "Add"-button. The last guide can be deleted by pressing the "Remove"-Button.
This tool is very useful if you make weblayouts and don't want to select every guide from the ruler.
Remember to chmod+x the file. Put it in "plug-ins"-folder.
