Step Scale

Resizes the image to desired size using small steps.

Correction of the Harry Phillips's script FU_stair-resize.scm, who misses
the final size of the images. For example 680x480 becomes 507x380
in three steps, instead of the correct size 511x383.

Polaroid Border Creation (based on image width) with Texture

I had previously created a script-fu to automatically emulate the results of shooting on expired Polaroid 600 instant film that included the undeveloped corners that results from old film stock with not enough developer/fix to completely cover the image area:

http://registry.gimp.org/node/25374

At the bottom of that script page I had alluded to a border script I created that more faithfully reproduced the textures embossed on actual polaroid 600 film.

Then I promptly forgot all about it.

A GIF Movie Modifier

Sometime there is a need to adjust either the size or speed of a gif movie to see everything that is going on. The details on how to do this is located at the following site.

Steganography

Steganography tool to hide/retrieve text or an image in an image.
Once data is hidden in an image, one can't tell the morphed image from a bunch of others (even similar looking).

Open any image and run Filters>Steganography>Hide to specify an input text file or image[lossless]. This will hide the data within the opened image. You can then save the image as a png/bmp/lossless format.

Polar Monitor Bitmap (.pmb) load/save handler

The Polar Monitor Bitmap is a simple text-based 1-bit image file format. It is used for uploading logos to Polar watches (http://www.polar.fi/) using e.g. the Polar UpLink Tool or the Polar ProTrainer software.

Build and install:
$ gimptool-2.0 --install file-pmb.c

Texturewerke

Texturewerke is texture creation tool for GIMP.

It has two operating modes - color adjustment and highpass filter. More information can be found at Khayyam development page

Sierpinski Fractal Shapes

These two scripts make Sierpinksi fractals. One does a triangle, and one does a carpet. The attached pictures show what happens when the scripts are run with the default values. You can change the sizes and colors, as wel as making the "holes" in each of the shape transparent.

These two scripts are both found in the Filters -> SambrookJM -> Sierpinksi. No, they're not overly useful scripts, but someone out there may find a use for them.

Enjoy!

JPEG XR plugin

Description

This is a plugin for GIMP that allows reading and writing of JPEG XR image files. It has been tested on Windows and Ubuntu with GIMP 2.8.4.

Read support

Almost all pixel formats supported by JPEG XR can be loaded. However, non-compatible formats will first be converted to a representation that GIMP understands (this means you'll loose HDR data for example). All RGB pixel formats get converted to 24bpp RGB, all RGBA formats to 32bpp BGRA, and all grayscale formats to 8bpp Gray. Black-white images are imported as indexed images.

Random gradient generator

Simple console program made by me to automatic generate random gradient in ggr format. Someday I wonted to do this tutorial here: http://www.eyesontutorials.com/articles/5276/1/Photorealistic-Vinyl-Desi... and I could not do it because GIMP does not have a generator of random gradients. Because I know how to programing I decided to write a console program that generates a random gradient for me.
