Film Grain Script

Download script.

This is a script which simulates the typical film grain of high ISO pictures. I scripted exactly this description:
http://www.gimpguru.org/Tutorials/FilmGrain/
Copy it into the scripts folder from GIMP, you will find it then under Filters -> Generic -> Film Grain.

Blur border

Puts 2 borders around the image. The outside border is a Gausian blur of the image itself, the inner border is a colour.

This script has 4 options:

  1. Border colour, pick the colour of the inner border.
  2. Border size, the width of the colour border.
  3. Blur amount, the amount of blur applied to the border.
  4. Blur border size, the width of the blur border

UPDATE (26 Jul 2008): The script now checks to see if the image is big enough to fit the borders.

Scanlines

I noticed that the scanlines script-fu was not present anymore, so I cooked up a new one. This one is completely self-contained. Has a few enhancements to it, making it easier to work with. Thanks to Federico Mena Quintero for his work on the original "Erase Every Other Row" script-fu which served as part of my guide.

The script-fu will install in "<Image>/Script-Fu/Enhance".

Tested to work in GIMP 2.4.5.
