Water reflection displacement map generator

Builds displacement map to produce realistic water-like 3D reflection effect.

Please see Tutorial with step-by-step instructions and examples.

Version 1.2.1Compatibility issue fixed ( GIMP 2.6.7 )

New Guides Every X Pixels

This plug-in will create guides every X pixels apart for the entire image size. It can handle both vertical and horizontal guides.

I wrote this for easier management of multiple textures and sprites in a single image file for graphical programming.

Copy the file in to your Gimp scripts directory, usually '~/.gimp-2.x/scripts'. Refresh the scripts from Gimp menu 'Filters'->'Script-Fu'->'Refresh Scripts'. This is unnecessary if Gimp is being re-started. Once this is done the script can be accessed from 'Image'->'Guides'->'New Guides Every X Pixels'.

WebThumb

Creates a separate thumbnail of the selected image file(s), pre-pends 'th_' (color image) and 'thgs_' (grayscale image) to the filename. WebThumb takes maxPixels as the maximum size of the largest aspect of the image, and then sizes the opposite aspect to maintain the original ratio.

Pattern Scale

By request at GimpTalk...

A script to take the current pattern, scale it and leave a copy in the clipboard. Gimp 2.6 lets you use the image in the clipboard as a fill pattern, so you can just use it from there

Scale is from 20% to 500% It used Lanczos scaling working a a tiled copy of the image, so if the source pattern is tileable the scaled one will be as well.

You can access the script by right clicking on a pattern and selecting "Scale Pattern..."

Fx-Foundry Scripts Pack

FX-Foundry project is constantly updating custom scripts for each major Gimp release.

Last pack contain more then 100 scripts updated for gimp 2.6
In case you do not need such huge pack you may also search (for category, name, author's name etc) and download single scripts.
Note that many scripts included are not listed in this registry, before ask in this or other gimp forum help to update some old script you may better check on FX-Foundry ,good chances was already updated

Wavelet Decompose Script-Fu

This is a Script-Fu script for losslessly decomposing an image into different detail scales. This should be useful for photo post processing (for instance reapairing skin in portraits).

New Guides Rule of Thirds

This is a very simple script that adds the rule of thirds guides to the current image.

I used to add guide by guide by percent, then crop, remove the guides and add them again one by one. After many times I did it like that, I decided to create a script to do it faster, for which I had to self train on how to do it using script-fu, to avoid poor portability.

I created the script with my Fedora 8 Linux distribution for GIMP 2.4, but it also works for 2.6.

This script works for any platform that GIMP works with.

GIMP Unified Resource Manager (GURM)

This plugin was created at my suggestion by Sagenlicht at the cartographers' guild website

It is a python plugin (so you need to have python installed) that can dynamically manage all the resources that gimp can use. (It is basically an extension of the brush manager plugin). He has given me permission to post it here :)

G'MIC : GREYC's Magic for Image Computing

The G'MIC plug-in for GIMP proposes a set of various filters to apply on your images, including artistic effects, image denoising and enhancement algorithms, 3D renderers, etc.. It is a quite large plug-in, integrating a lot of different effects.

Wavelet decompose 0.1.2 Win 32 Binary

Windows 32 binary of the last version of this plugin written by "wavelet" Marcor ;)

(2009/12/26) New compilation of same sources. French localization added. Locale dir fixed this way:
LOCALEDIR = /PROGRA~1/GIMP-2.0/share/locale
Which means (any drive)/Program Files (or Programmi, and so on...)/GIMP-2.0/share/locale for your language files.

We already did the same for Liquid Rescale. Another compilation would be needed for a portable version of Gimp, else the plugin would work in English.
