GIMP Plugin Registry

Partitions an image into tiles (with, optionally, either gaps or overlaps between them) and then writes each tile as a separate jpeg file.

An alternative method of doing the same thing would involve first setting up a grid of guides (eg, http://registry.gimp.org/node/12003), then using Image->Transform->Guillotine (as noted here: http://registry.gimp.org/node/20826), and then saving each of the generated images to a file.  read more »

LayerGroups subsystem for Gimp

A Python plugin that exports a GIMP image as a Shockwave Flash file or the layers of an GIMP image as a Shockwave Flash animation. The package "swftools" is required.

Windows binaries for the Exif Viewer plug-in by Bill Skaggs.

The wavelet/JPEG 2000 plug-in, written by Divyanshu Vats, from the 2006 GIMP Google Summer of Code wavelet project, mentored by Simon Budig.

It creates three plug-ins:
jp2: JPEG 2000 support
denoise: A noise removal plug-in
ihalf: Inverse halftoning -- remove halftones from printed images.

It requires the openjpeg library, available at: http://www.openjpeg.org/

I'm not sure what the license is (the code files don't say) but the COPYING file looks pretty free.

This is an Exif Viewer, mainly for jpeg photos taken with a digital camera. It is an update of the "Exif Browser" plugin from the old registry. It requires a recent version of libexif (tested with 0.6.16).
