The wavelet denoise plugin is a tool to reduce noise in each channel of an image separately. The default colour space to do denoising is YCbCr which has the advantage that chroma noise can be reduced without affecting image details. Denoising in CIELAB (L*a*b*) or RGB is available as an option. The user interface allows colour mode and preview channel selection. The denoising threshold can be set for each colour channel independently.
i update all library to the newest version available.
But please note that Python itself may only partially updated (now is included 2.5.2 before was 2.5.0) since most of other py libraries included require python 2.5 and will not accept python 2.6.
And also about Python windows binary come in several version so if you have a peculiar architecture(i.e a X86 processor ) may be better for you download it directly here http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.5.2/
For some reason the freetype plugin, quite useful to edit text and fonts, was removed from gimp-2.4 , and many miss it Work well with Gimp-2.4 (at least on Windows OS)
The windows users that don't know how to compile by source , may found it here http://photocomix-resources.deviantart.com/art/Lost-Found-Gimp-Freetype-...
ready to be installed
GAP ( Gimp Animation Package ) 2.4.0 for Windows XP Vista (and Gimp-2.4.x )
This is not a new plugin but i think useful post the download link
Windows users often don't know how compile from source and this Windows installer is hard to trace even by Googling
Most of links will lead to the only official installer "gimp-gap-2.2.0-set-up.zip" here but that is a obsolete version that will not work with gimp 2.4.)

Every paper size has a different shape, and none probably match the shape of the images produced by your digital camera. This little utility will create a layer showing which parts of an image will fit on the paper when printed. A wide selection of print sizes are included. Using it will help you layout your image so that important pieces aren't cut off by the printer/lab.
This script-fu was developed under Gimp-2.0 and Gimp-2.4
