TraceOver Suite

Iteratively improve rough drawings by partially obscuring them and tracing, re-drawing, or inking over them. Quickly allows GIMP to act like a light box.

Comic strip

This script-fu script is a deeply modified version of the comic-book1 script by barky. While that script works well for web resolution images, higher res images need a larger cell size to keep the correct look and feel.
The plugin-interactions have been left in a active state to allow the user to fine tune the effect based on resolution.
This script uses the following default plugins:
hue-saturation
posterize
unsharp mask
newsprint.

17, June 2010 -- Script repaired to remove fixed image id.

Flatting Tools

Based on a request in the gpr forums: http://registry.gimp.org/node/13251

This consists of two scripts, one to multifill, and one to flatten.

Multifill takes every background coloured space (selectable) and will fill them with sequential palette entries, or randomly. It does NOT check to see if adjacent colours are the same, but use of a large palette should reduce the likelihood.

G'MIC : GREYC's Magic for Image Computing

The G'MIC plug-in for GIMP proposes a set of various filters to apply on your images, including artistic effects, image denoising and enhancement algorithms, 3D renderers, etc.. It is a quite large plug-in, integrating a lot of different effects.

batch cartoon effect

A simple plugin (my first) to run the cartoon effect on multiple images. It took me a while to write whilst trying to edit a lot of photos (for a short film about geography)

it is available from /Xtns/Misc/Batch cartoon effect
