CCD Camera Fringe Removal

The script removes the blue/purple fringe found in digital camera pictures.

This script came out of necessity, when laborious and tedious work for fixing a large set of images became too much! It's certainly not perfect, but it does do a really decent job for a hands-off approach!

Version 1.1 (2009 June 18)

  • Fixed some blotchiness found in overblown areas
  • Cleared bright areas instead of value invert for better recoloring
  • Added multiply layer to darken the fringe a bit

Version 1.2 (2009 July 5)

Auto convert ad resize images (new)

New version: 4.0 (14 may 2009)

Changelog:
- Important modifications for the compatibility with GIMP ver 2.6.6.
- Currently 29 formats of conversion are supported.

Description:
It automatically converts and it resize entire collections of images. The script reads from text file the complete path of the images to convert, one complete path for every line of text. The converted images are saved in the same folder of origin.

Perspective Reflection Script

This script modifies a layer to have a perspective and reflection consistent with that perspective.

This script is not finished. It has not been tested very much, and it is missing major features to come later on.

To install this script, copy it to your scripts folder, then restart Gimp. If you don't know where your scripts folder is, then go to Edit > Preferences > Folders > Scripts.

To run this script, select Filters > Decor > Perspective Reflection.

Feedback is appreciated.

New Engrave plugin

This plugin is an alternative to the existing Engrave plugin
supplied with GIMP.

Basically, the plug-in transforms a grayscale image into a series of
horizontal lines of varying widths.

For example, the following (small) image

can be transformed into:

(stand back 10-20 feet).

Count tiles for a mosaic

# GIMP plugin to count the number of tiles of the FG color

This plugin breaks the layer into tiles and counts the number of tiles containing a percentage of the FG color, and optionally draws a grid in the bg color. The plug-in also reports the total percentage of the FG color in the layer. For best results, use a flattened copy of your layered image.

Website Window Creator Script

This script creates a new image with a window useful for web design.

To install this script, copy it to your scripts folder, then restart Gimp. If you don't know where your scripts folder is, then go to Edit > Preferences > Folders > Scripts.

To run this script, select File > Create > Website Window.

Feedback is appreciated, and I will consider any changes that you request.
