Exif Viewer

This is an Exif Viewer, mainly for jpeg photos taken with a digital camera. It is an update of the "Exif Browser" plugin from the old registry. It requires a recent version of libexif (tested with 0.6.16).

Instructions for Linux:

You need to have gimp already installed on your system. After downloading the file exif-browser.tar.gz, do the following steps.

draw-circle-rhomb.scm

This script allows to draw n rhomb around the circle in parametric modality.

Tutorial: http://xoomer.alice.it/lwcon/gimp/scripts/draw-circle-rhomb.htm

Halftone Cluster

An picture filter coded as Gimp-Python plugin. What this filter does is to reduce the colourspace of a 24bit rgb picture into a 3bit, using a predefined halftone cluster for it.

Draw spiral

New version: 3.1 (it works with GIMP 2.6.6)

Script to draw spirals into GIMP image in parametric mode.

Tutorial:http://xoomer.alice.it/lwcon/gimp/scripts/draw-spiral.htm

Exposure Blend

This script is by JD Smith and updated for GIMP 2.3+ by Alan Stewart. Main website: http://turtle.as.arizona.edu/jdsmith/exposure_blend.php
After installation, you can access the script from [Toolbox]/Xtns/Photography/Exposure Blend...

exposure-blend makes quick work of blending 3 bracketed exposures into a detailed, realistic, extended contrast image. It has many features to save you the drudgery of assembling contrast blended stacks yourself:

script-fu-make-anaglyph

This program creates stereoscopic 3D anaglyph photos from a stereo pair. In order to make use of this program you will first need a pair of images from slightly different angles or the same object. You then need to place both images as different layers in the same image window in Gimp with the right image as the Bottom layer and the left image as the next layer above it and no other layers in the image (if you use this script in other circumstances then it probably won't work properly).

Flip Cells - picture filter

Posting this picture filter here specially because it's very rare and difficult to find picture filters made as plug-in for Gimp coded in Python - publishing this would be also for encouraging people on enrich Gimp with good filters (better than mine one, please! :-D )

The only problems of this filter is it seems to be somehow slow (even having a simple code), wich takes 20 seconds with a 320x200 picture - it's also missing undo and progress bar while running...

selection-to-polar-array.scm

Script to make polar array from active selection within image.

Tutorial: http://xoomer.alice.it/lwcon/gimp/script-fu/selection-to-polar-array.htm

CSSdev for Gimp 0.5

  • Default font
  • Background color, font color and link color
  • clipping
  • visibilty and opacity
  • z-index and name

PS Gradmap

As a simple experiment, I took the instructions in the tutorial on the GimpTalk forums and created a script-fu for making PS-style gradient maps. The steps to do it are pretty simple, but I added a few new options to it, such as flattening image and layer opacity.

Works quick and should also be simple enough to work in either 2.2 or 2.4 without any problems. I have built and tested this in 2.4.5. If it doesn't work in the older versions, let me know and I'll try to work out whatever bugs come up.

Enjoy!

Oh, and the original tutorial this is based on can be found here:
