B&P Glossy Button 01

[UPDATE: 2012 APR 29]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Plugin was updated to work with Gimp 2.7+
Visit home page for details.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A glossy Web 2.0 style button generator for GIMP.
Built and tested with GIMP 2.6.
Requires a Python module for GIMP.
Generate a glossy button using a set of parameters: dimensions, shadow, color, text, button states etc.
More info at www.bytes-and-pixels.com
Example:
Glossy Stroke 3D
This python plug-in strokes or fills the current selection and creates a 3D glossy effect with a dropped shadow. The color, brush, lighting, and shadow are adjustable through the initial dialog. Use the Filters/Light and Shadow/GlossyStroke 3D menu.
Note: Depending on the color, adjusting the opacity of the "volume" layers can give better results.
It is my first GIMP plugin, so any comment, criticism or improvement is appreciated. The 3D effect parameter could certainly be improved.
12/16/10 - Version 1.2.0
- The light direction is now opposite to the shadow.
Index print or contact sheet (with exif and raw support)
An indexprint or contactsheet is an image that traditionally contains the negative images of an entire roll of film. Photographers used such sheets to index prints or as a proof page to decide which prints to enlarge.
Indexprint is a very useful tool to show the contents of a folder, for web design projects and galleries, personal work, or just to have a record of any archive folder in your (external) hard drives. Indexprint let you easily preview and catalog groups of images by displaying a series of (small) images on a single or multiple pages.
Cut, Copy, and Paste Multiple Layers
(Updated May 1, 2010)
Description:
Archimedean Spirals
Draws one of five types of predefined spirals, or lets the user modify the power parameter. The formula is:
r = a + b * theta ^ n
r - radius
a - growth factor
b - multiplication factor
theta - angle
n - power factor
The predefined types are: Archimedean (n = 1), Fermat (n = 1/2), Circle (n = 0), Lituus (n = -1/2), Hyperbolic (n = -1). If you choose a predefined type, the power factor you input on the form will be disregarded.
script-fu-copy-rotate
Define the center of rotation, angle and count it will then copy and rotate based on the original distance from center. I have included images to show usage. This was based in part on Radial Copy by pkotronis but as i couldn't figure out how to use his i made a simpler one
edit: I added a layer resize to fix errors and a new script that does the same thing but creates a new layer for each rotation.
Colour-match Win32 binary
Windows binary for this new plugin by Arel Welgan.
Source has been fixed for Windows compilation by Samj. Plugin no longer crashes under Windows.
Please note that all comments below, prior to Nov 28 2009 are related to another build not to this
that seems working well with RGB and RGBA images
Extract colour-match.exe from the ZIP archive and copy it to your c:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\.gimp-2.6\plug-ins\
(As Windows compilation by Samj was perfect, I kept it in the archive. Mine was several bytes larger...)
Colour Match
Easily map colours from a source colour to a target colour. Very effective for matching skin tones across images or between people.
Relatively quick (but not earth shattering). It doesn't work with grayscale or indexed images. Has preview, works with selections and layers, etc. Very, easy to use, and quite useful for portraits or recolouring graphics.
