Seamless image of one the woven from palettes

To create seamless image of one the woven is very easy with palette-to-textile.py plugin.
Run the plugins, selects a palette, obtains a new image with the model of the woven.

How to work the plugin

read a selected palette, and make temporary gradient;

create a new image and apply the temporary gradient;

add new layer to image, with opacity 50%, and apply the gradient rotate of 90°;

flatten the image and delete the temporary gradient;

Examples of images created with the plugin

Pattern Scale

By request at GimpTalk...

A script to take the current pattern, scale it and leave a copy in the clipboard. Gimp 2.6 lets you use the image in the clipboard as a fill pattern, so you can just use it from there

Scale is from 20% to 500% It used Lanczos scaling working a a tiled copy of the image, so if the source pattern is tileable the scaled one will be as well.

You can access the script by right clicking on a pattern and selecting "Scale Pattern..."

I have added an option to call either sharpen or unsharp mask interactively so the sharpness can be adjusted visually before the pattern is placed in the clipboard.

Photoshop Pattern Loader

Plugin to load Photoshop PAT patterns set as image in GIMP. Multiple patterns included in a file are loaded as layers. Should handle Grayscale, Indexed and RGB patterns ; anyway, a RGB image is always created for now. Requires Gimp 2.4.

Gas Giant

This script is nother in a series of planet makers. This one makes a banded gas giant. There can be anywhere from one to 20 bands in the planet. Each band is an equal height, and has Plasma noise rendered in it. Each layer is then motion blurred. The result is then mapped onto a sphere, and gaussian blurred to make the edges nice and fuzzy. The resulting planet can also be rotated to any angle, and the saturation of the image can be changed to make the colors either more pale (for more realistic looking images) or more vivid (for the cool factor.) The higher value noise you use, the more grey the planet will turn out. Between one and four seems to be a good number.
The final size of the image can be anywhere from 300x300 to 3000x3000, and this script works with Gimp 2.6.0

Thatched cross

This script generates a pattern like the one shown in the attached png. The size of the image can be anywhere from 300x300 to 3000x3000. The pattern can be symmetric, or it can be weighted to have longer sides on one side. The color of the lines in selectable. I'm not sure what this can be used for, but it does make a nice pattern that can be tiled. Enjoy!
The one thing I could not figure out how to do was to make each stroke a different random color. I tried using an if statement inside the loop and then setting the color to (rand 256) (rand 256) (rand 256), but for some reason that did not work correctly. If anyone out there can figure out why, please post it in the comments. I'll add it into the script and give you the credit for it.
