Hello everybody. I am using ufraw-gimp plugin with gimp 2.6 on UBUNTU 10.04 2.6.32-25.
Since a couple of weeks the program crashes as I try to use the "crop and rotate" utility. In particular, as I try to vary the "Alignment Line Count" it crashes and a window open displaying these errors
"Plug-in crashed: "ufraw-gimp"
(/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/ufraw-gimp)
The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side." read more »
I am running a script-fu macro using GIMP from the command line. However, it is quite slow to startup and run - about 20-25 seconds. I think a lot of this time is spent on startup - loading all the plugins and such. What are some ways to optimize GIMP on the CL? Is there any way to keep it always running?
I have a large number of silhouette style images. I am interested in using these images to make a uniform set of styled ICONs. I am a beginner user and get manage to create an ICON using one of the images, but I have hundreds of them and looking for a way to automate the process. Any help of approach or details appreciated. A youtube video would be awesome. Is there some sort of macro or automation tool available for this in Gimp? I took a look at Davis Batch Process ,dpb.exe, but think its capabilities are too limited for what I want to do in full. read more »
Just curious if there's an easy way to export layer based animation like the one's made with lightbox plugin http://www.registry.gimp.org/node/25538
into frames to be used in gimp gap. All the ways I could think of seem to be very tedious.
*resolved just noticed image to frames in gimp gap always learning something new, just didn't look well enough sorry for wasting post.*
I'm running 64bit Ubuntu 11.04 and Gimp 2.6.8. I've tried compiling the Deskew plugin myself, which seemed to work fine as "make install" created the appropriate plugin in my /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins directory. The file is 61.6kb, which looks about right. read more »
Hello everyone. Decided to join this wonderful site after finally learning enough about Gimp to be able to shed all of my previous image applications. There is however one thing that I find personally quite annoying since I frequently work with over 100 photos, many of which require a little individual finesse here and there, meaning that I can't simply use a batch job on all of them at once. Searching this site revealed that other people have this issue as well but I couldn't find an actual solution. read more »
what I have is a whole bunch of this in a .bmp:
http://i39.tinypic.com/1679kpu.jpg
And what I need is to
select the right half (some pictures are different sizes)
invert the colors
copy it
invert the selection
crop it
create a layer mask
past it
and save as a .png
I have no clue what to look for as far as a script to do this, are there any scripts that could do this (or part of this?)
I'm looking for Python code to model a GIMP drawable as a 2D array of Pixels. Where Pixels have properties: color, isSelected, isTransparent. More object oriented than gimp.PixelRgn.
Does such a class exist already? If not, I will keep working on my prototype of it.
Hi All,
I want a plugin that can automatically print specific date in a group of photos.
Thanks,
Mostafa Aly
