Using Gimp to make Photos look Professional

I just started a photography business, It's just on the side and I take pics for some friends. I need help finding some scripts and plugins that are more automatic, i've been doing everything manual and it's very time consuming. so if i could get some advice on some photo brightening, color enhancing and also does anyone know any ways to remove blemishes, smooth out faces and such? read more »

It seems you have to troll through all the forum topics to get a plugin. Why is there no download page? am i missing something obvious? is there another site i can go to that is more straightforward? On Gimp-Ubuntu 8.04, I see the [Exts/Python-Fu/Console] menu, and the Python instruction like "import gimp" "dir(gimp)" works in the Python console, but when I open an picture with the following script :

Load Images and Scale Images

Anyways, I'm not good with scripts in GIMP. So I'm looking for a script I can load (X) jpeg images, scale them at say 500 x 500 and save.
Can it be done? If so, puhlease let me know how it can be done.

Gradient Bevel problem
September 11, 2008 - 08:52 — blackgoldHi, I'm having probelms with the plugin Gradient Bevel (Filters->Alpha to Logo->gradient Bevel).
I have a picture that I want to look 3D, and Gradient Bevel seems to give what I require - ie Bevelled edges, gradient colors and a light reflection ... BUT the gradient color nearly totally overwrites my picture, you can just makeout a dog's head in this picture. (see attachments)
How can I get this plugins great bevel, light reflection and gradient color without overwriting my picture
Help?
I'm using GIMP 2.4.7, I cannot find any details for the plugin.
Files to layers
September 6, 2008 - 06:51 — adbIs there a way to auto load a sequence of files into layers ? I want to create an FLC from a sequence of images.
I have a number of FLCs on which I need to make a small change the color value of one color. All load fine except for 6 that show green in the file open dialog and and their colors reversed on loading. I thought the easiest fix might be to save the FLCs as an image sequence (using another package), load as layers, carry out the color change, then resave as an FLC.
