GIMP YCC Inversion

Performs a value-inversion on the current layer, based on its representation in the YCC colorspace. The result is similar to the existing "Value Invert" command (but without that command's color-distortion introduced from low RGB values) and can be quite striking on certain source images.
Accessible via (Image) > Colors > Components > Luma invert.

Focus Blur Binaries for Microsoft Windows

Windows binariers for the focus blur plug-in by Kyoichiro Suda.

Unfortunately without FFTW3 so far (because I do not have it on my system yet), and thus slow.

 

The attachment is meant to be extracted into the GIMP program directory, if you want to place it elsewhere, just drop the executable to the right place. Translations for Italian, Japanese and Russian are included.

Make Your Own Planet - Script of MarvinX's Tutorial - Updated for Gimp 2.6

This script automates many of the steps in MarvinX's fantastic "Make a Planet" tutorial, with a couple of added features. There is an atmospheric haze around the planet, and there are stars on the background layer. This script does not do the IWarp step. I leave that to the individual user to make wherever they want.. Everything else is in here.

msx1 filter

The code still have some accuracy bugs when compaired with its sdlBasic version, since i were getting some problems when recoding it to Python-Gimp.
The script converts a rgb picture into msx1 (also colecovision and sega sg1000) display limitations, which have a predefined palette, and a maximum of 2 colours in each 8x1 pixels cell, trying to provide this cell as the most close as possible from their rgb original.
As well, the code is a bit slow (a 320x240 picture can take around 1 minute on a 2ghz dualcore computer) since it processes pixel by pixel.

zx spectrum filter

crosseye2anaglyph

A converter from 3d crosseye photos to 3d anaglyph red-cyan.
The code is slow because it works pixel by pixel, please try first with small pictures, like 640x240 (from 2x 320x240) - i think a similar code can perform faster, like moving a group of pixels (a half of the picture in this case) at once from just one colour channel, but i have no idea about how to do it, specially how to crop out the result, and defining a GUI for choosing if we want a rc or a cr anaglyph. All help are very welcome! :-)

Halftone Cluster

An picture filter coded as Gimp-Python plugin. What this filter does is to reduce the colourspace of a 24bit rgb picture into a 3bit, using a predefined halftone cluster for it.

Blur border

Puts 2 borders around the image. The outside border is a Gausian blur of the image itself, the inner border is a colour.

This script has 4 options:

  1. Border colour, pick the colour of the inner border.
  2. Border size, the width of the colour border.
  3. Blur amount, the amount of blur applied to the border.
  4. Blur border size, the width of the blur border

UPDATE (26 Jul 2008): The script now checks to see if the image is big enough to fit the borders.

Bloom

Python-Fu script to apply light bloom effect on an image. Simply put, this script will make shiny parts of the image even shinier and makes the light creep over the edges of darker objects, sort of like what usually happens when you take a photo against the light. The script will create a flattened copy of the image, and add a layer of light on top of it. You can play with the growth settings in the script and the layer opacity and mode to achieve certain effects.

Flip Cells - picture filter

Posting this picture filter here specially because it's very rare and difficult to find picture filters made as plug-in for Gimp coded in Python - publishing this would be also for encouraging people on enrich Gimp with good filters (better than mine one, please! :-D )

The only problems of this filter is it seems to be somehow slow (even having a simple code), wich takes 20 seconds with a 320x200 picture - it's also missing undo and progress bar while running...
