Exif Viewer

This is an Exif Viewer, mainly for jpeg photos taken with a digital camera. It is an update of the "Exif Browser" plugin from the old registry. It requires a recent version of libexif (tested with 0.6.16).

Instructions for Linux:

You need to have gimp already installed on your system. After downloading the file exif-browser.tar.gz, do the following steps.

Sprocket Hole Script

This script simulates complete exposed 35mm film strips with frame numbers, lettering, overexposed sprocketholes and DX film edge barcodes.
Copy it into the scripts folder from GIMP, you will find it then under Filters -> Decor -> Photo with Sprocketholes.
DX1 and DX2 numbers can be encrypted here:

Here is another example:

TGA Batch Save

Save all layers as TGA files, discarding alpha channels and applying layer masks as alpha if they exist. Name becomes imagename-layername.tga
This script is created by Joao S. O. Bueno at my request and I take no credit for it's development.
Appears in /Layer/Transparency/Copy Mask to Other layers of the Image window.

Iconify2.scm

Iconify2.scm
Iconify2 plug-in converts a single layer of a single image into a multi-layered image ready to be saved as a Windows icon.
;The new image will contain all standard sizes (16x16, 32x32, 48x48) at all standard bit depths (16 colors, 256 colors, 32-bit RGBA), with transparency support.
*Note: Not fully tested though, so be sure to try it on an "expendable" copy of an image first.
**Tested on - Gimp 2.4.6
- Gimp Portable 2.4.6

GIMP Indexed palette selection tools

I wrote this script using GIMP bug #88361 as inspiration.
This script provides three functions that expand GIMP's ability to deal with indexed colors. I designed them with pixel artists in mind, who frequently store their target palette as a set of swatches in one region of the image they're working on.

(Image) > Colors > Map > Colormap to palette
Creates a GIMP palette based on an indexed image's colormap, which can then be used just like any normal GIMP palette.

GIMP YCC Inversion

Performs a value-inversion on the current layer, based on its representation in the YCC colorspace. The result is similar to the existing "Value Invert" command (but without that command's color-distortion introduced from low RGB values) and can be quite striking on certain source images.
Accessible via (Image) > Colors > Components > Luma invert.

First Photo Border Script

This script simulates the cut-off of the first picture of a film roll of cheap cameras like Lomo. Role model was this picture from flickr. Copy it into the scripts folder from GIMP, you will find it then under Filters -> Generic -> Photo Border.

Focus Blur Binaries for Microsoft Windows

Windows binariers for the focus blur plug-in by Kyoichiro Suda.

Unfortunately without FFTW3 so far (because I do not have it on my system yet), and thus slow.

The attachment is meant to be extracted into the GIMP program directory, if you want to place it elsewhere, just drop the executable to the right place. Translations for Italian, Japanese and Russian are included.
