Can be used in batch mode; just adapt the files 'gimprc' and the Linux shell script 'run_parse_subtitles'. Extension to support other filetypes should be easy.

Extended Split Tone

This script creates two sets of layers - one for highlights and second for shadows.
You can then adjust the tone by changing of opacity each R,G,B layer.

Launch from: Script-Fu -> Color -> Extended Split Tone

Compass Wheel

This script makes a compass wheel that shows the eight main directions. The wheel can be anywhere from 301x301 to 3001x3001. The outer ring can be from 1-15 pixels thick. The pen that makes the compass lines is three pixels wide. The width of the arrows can also be controlled by the "Inner Arrow Thickness" command.

There are no text markings included for the compass wheel, so you can use any font or symbols you want to.

Make Your Own Planet - Script of MarvinX's Tutorial - Updated for Gimp 2.6

This script automates many of the steps in MarvinX's fantastic "Make a Planet" tutorial, with a couple of added features. There is an atmospheric haze around the planet, and there are stars on the background layer. This script does not do the IWarp step. I leave that to the individual user to make wherever they want.. Everything else is in here.
