Draw arrow

Update [11/15/2009] : Added fixed brush width and double headed error, removed bug 1) one-point-paths, 2) horizontal paths
Update [11/16/2009] : Fixed image type restriction string
Update [11/19/2009] : Added feature for absolute wing length, fixed handling gray-scale images

This plugin enables GIMP to draw an arbitrary arrow into an image or a new layer. The plugin has reasonable default values for every paramtere but is freely adjustable to ones needs. Parameters are:

wing length and line width freely adjustable (relative & absolute)

angle between arrow tail and wing

optional draw arrow in new layer

optional filled or not filled head

optional notch in arrow head

optional delete used path

optional draw double headed arrow

Usage:
Create a path (usually <B>) with the head of the arrow (first anchor point) and the end of the tail (second anchor point). Then call the script which adds itself to the "Tools" menu (I use <AltGr+P> as the shortcut as "Pfeil" is the german word for arrow).

ToDo:

Write documentation (any one can help me with that and knows how to?)

Open for suggestions

Enable a more angularly arrow

You can also contact me via ICQ #52712314 and Jabber/XMPP Hoffmann.P@jabber.ccc.de

fourier (new)

A simple plug-in to do fourier transform on you image. The major advantage of this plugin is to be able to work with the transformed image inside GIMP. You can so draw or apply filters in fourier space, and get the modified image with an inverse FFT.

Iterative Save

Once installed, this plugin will add an 'Iterative Save' entry in your GIMP menu, under File -> Save. Using this with an image which has been previously saved as an XCF will now save the image with an added numeric suffix. The first time this feature is invoked, it will save your image as yourfile_0000.xcf; subsequent calls will continue to save the image with an increased numeric suffix (i.e. image_0001.xcf, image_0002.xcf, etc).

Note that for safety reasons, this plugin will only work on XCF files. You can easily modify the source code to override this limitation, but given the non-interative saving procedure, that might not be a very good idea.

Archive packages contain both binaries and source code.

Lightsaber v1.3.0

Creates a Lightsaber effect!

New features: (v1.3.0)

You don't have to have white FG and black BG set - it will set it on its own

It will set your original FG/BG colors back

Installs alongside previous version (Donno why you would want the old
version, but just in case.)

Creates saber based on a selection

How To:

To use this effect, simply make a selection, choose the script settings, and go! I recommend using the path tool to create your saber outline then using the path-to-selection tool. Remember to keep the saber decently skinny!

(Method taken from http://www.alienryderflex.com/rotoscope)

Mix cells

Script to randomly mix cells of a selection. The bounding box of the current selection will be used automatically to eliminate non-rectangular and feathered selection. After specifying the count of columns and rows in the selected region the width and height of the selection will be reduced if necessary (thus ensured the divisibility of the selection). The script will then shuffle the cells inside the selection and return the mixed image on a new layer or in place of the original layer.

Flag waving

This little plugin makes an animation that looks like a flag fluttering
in the wind from any given (single layer) image. This one requires gimp with perl-support.

http://www.69b.org/cms/software/gimp#flag-waving

Example:
