Deskew, also called auto straighten, is the automatic rotation of an image such that the text is vertically aligned. This is great for cleaning up scanned documents.
PDS/EDR format is the image format used by NASA Planetary Data System and by ESA Planetary Science Archives. PDS images from various space missions are available at http://pds-imaging.jpl.nasa.gov/ and http://www.rssd.esa.int/index.php?project=PSA
With the PDS plug-in you can load images from these missions and others:
A set of gradients for toning B&W photos. New are multi-colored toning gradients (thanks Ron Antonishen for the conversion script), and 3 Albubum print gradients. Instructions for use are in the README file.
Note: you will generally get better results from:
->color->map->sample colorize
than from
->color->map->gradient map
A flexible lomo simulation plugin for py-gimp. Design inspired by several other authors who are credited in the README file, plus some of my own ideas.
Reports imagename, layername, size and offset to stdout.
Intended to query information of anim frame images when
used with GIMP-GAP. (Run this filter via menu Video->Frames Modify to query layer information of frames)

GREYCstoration is a noise reduction plug-in.
It allows to remove noise (grain) or small artefacts (JPEG blocks effect) from color images. It is based on anisotropic diffusion partial differential equations.
TESEO2: Turn the Eldest Seismograms in the Electronic Original Ones
Teseo2 has been developed for quick and accurate digitisation of historical seismograms from raster files, introducing a vectorisation step based on piecewise cubic Bezier curves. The vectoriser can handle greyscale images stored in a suitable file format and it offers three concurrent vectorisation methods: manual, automatic by colour selection, and automatic by neural networks. read more »
Subtract small isles from the current selection and/or add small unselected isles to the current selection. The parameters pixel_diagonal and pixel_limit are used to define area size that is considered as small isle.
INSTALL: gimptool-2.0 --install isle.c
This simple plugin allows you to change the values of each color channel of each pixel of a layer by using mathematical expressions.
The Image Subtraction plugin compares each pixel of two given images and, if they are equal, put a transparent pixel on the new image. Otherwise, put on the new image the pixel from the primary image. It is useful if you want to isolate objects from two seemed images. The plugin has also a threshold slide bar.
