Any version 2 GIMP. This is most likely not correct for the majority of plug-ins and scripts, please use more specific version tags.

MPO file loader and writer

The plugin can be downloaded here: as the zip file. Must be compiled and installed. The jpeg files saved inside mpo file are compressed with 90% quality. This should be sufficient for 3D images. If not, let me know.

Image Tiler -- tile single or multiple images into n*m grid with options

tileimages.scm -- Put n*m same sized images onto one image in n columns & m rows with optional padding, grid lines, bounding box, rounded corners and feathered edge.

If there aren't n*m images passed, the last image is repeated until n*m positions are filled.
This is useful for just passing one image, which will be tiled for all n*m positions.
If there are more images passed, only the first n*m are used.

Creates a new image rendered by moving automata (threads or worms) feeding from the original.

Works on color, gray, and indexed images. Ignores the selection and alpha.

Example effects:

For making heads/bodies.

Luminosity Masks (patdavid)

Revisiting the concept of creating and using Luminosity Masks in GIMP. This script-fu will generate a full set of Light, Dark, and Midtone masks as channels for your image (based on the work of Tony Kuyper originally).

This is the automated script-fu version of the full tutorial that can be found here:

Once installed, the filter can be found at

Guides frame

Adds four guides creating a border around image with set width.
Nothing much, helps a lot.

Guides halfies

Simple script i whipped out from one i found on this very site (the one that creates grid of guides).
This one adds two guides exactly in the center of image.

Script for cleaning pictures. It takes a background from a selection border (which is expected to be rectangular) and interpolates the selection contents based on this border.

Works ok with corners and borders. Yet it is slow and doesn't support undo, so use at your own risk.

Pixelart Scaler

A pixelart scaler which supports scale2x/scale3x and eagle2x/eagle3x.These are palette preserving algorithms so they might not give the desired effect on images with semi-transparent pixels.
