Apply image as dark frame to a batch of image files

Applies the currently open image to a batch of images as a dark frame, for the removal of hot-pixels in sequences of images.  Suitable for timelapse or other animations taken in low light with non-RAW images where dark frames typically cannot be applied on opening.

Can act on all images in a directory, on a range of images between two specified (default) or on a single image.  Output files have a specified prefix, a sequentially numeric suffix (eg Frame00001.jpg) from a specified starting number.  The output directory may be specified, or the input directory used.  read more »

CMY Skin Tone Adjust

[updated 11/28/2011 be 2.7 compatible- A HUGE thank you to François Collard for providing the update.]
Another simple, but I hope useful, color toning automation script designed to assist in adjusting flesh tones in portraits. It doesn't do anything that you couldn't do on your own a few other ways, but if you like fiddling with the complexion of subjects in portraits, and like me, you are a tad lazy, you might find it helpful.  read more »

Gimp Plugins installers for Win32

Several Windows users think that installing Gimp plugins under Windows is hard.

As I was playing around with Inno Setup, I randomly chose these plugins, only because I had just a new Windows 32 compilation of them, and I release those first plugin installers without any warranty.

They should work on any Windows version, but I'm waiting for feedbacks.

These are automated Windows installers. Please, do not copy the setup files into your Gimp plug-ins directory!  read more »

Lab curves for GIMP

Basically it is not a plugin. It is a small standalone program in C++ and a wrapper script for seemless integration into GIMP.

It allows to alter an image with 16 bit L*a*b* curves with preview. You call it like a script from gimp. The image is send to that program, you play with the L*a*b* curves and when you save the altered image is send back and everything is cleaned up...

HDR (High Dynamic Range) with tone mapping

This script helps you making a HDR image by three different exposures.
This script blends three different exposures of the same scene, it combines them to get the best parts of the images.

This procedure works best if you:  read more »

Facial Symmetry

Most peoples faces are not symmetrical. This python plugin, allows you to easily create mirror images of a persons face. Just make a rectangular selection of the portion of the image you are interested in, and the plugin will do the rest. An example can be found on my website: http://www.andyshelley.co.uk/gimpsymmetry/index.php

dorylinux impaginatore
