Sprite Sheet Toolkit

When loading spritesheet, you can enter frame width for non-square tiles.

Some scripts fixed for 2.7 and 2.8

Here are some scripts from my scripts directory, which happened to be fixed for 2.8, either because I needed them or out of curiosity. They may be backward incompatible with 2.6. If I did the work before the authors, they can receive their good back here. I updated this package on 2012/09/09, adding some other great scripts I use daily.

Cubemap Layers Generator

GIMP DDS plug-in needed to save to cubemap DDS format:

This script will automatically create, crop, reposition and rename all layers needed to save a cubemap with the GIMP DDS plug-in from a regular skybox image of choice.

How to use

Create a new file in the GIMP (just about any parameters will do). You'll find the script under Filters > Generic. Everything else is pretty straight forward from there.

Crossword Grid

Gino D's GIMP Scripts:

This script creates an image filled with a texture that represents a crossword grid featuring a random distribution of shaded cells.

JPEG XR plugin

This is a plugin for GIMP that allows reading and writing of JPEG XR image files. It has been tested on Windows and Ubuntu with GIMP 2.8.4.

Read support

Almost all pixel formats supported by JPEG XR can be loaded. However, non-compatible formats will first be converted to a representation that GIMP understands (this means you'll loose HDR data for example). All RGB pixel formats get converted to 24bpp RGB, all RGBA formats to 32bpp BGRA, and all grayscale formats to 8bpp Gray. Black-white images are imported as indexed images.

Selection bevel

New version of selection bevel released. Bugs of the last version have been fixed, and additionally a new feature added: now you can adjust the width and height of the bevel independently, creating neat effects where the bevel is thinner on some edges, or uneven.

Python-fu plugin to properly scale image, render metadata label on top of it and set it as a desktop background, designed mostly for non-interactive usage.

FIL 1.7.2

FIL (Film Imitation Lab) is a powerful script for old photo simulation. FIL has a modular architecture and can use binary extension (plugins).

Current version: v1.7.2 (June 14th 2013).

Index print or contact sheet (with exif and raw support)

An indexprint or contactsheet is an image that traditionally contains the negative images of an entire roll of film. Photographers used such sheets to index prints or as a proof page to decide which prints to enlarge.

Indexprint is a very useful tool to show the contents of a folder, for web design projects and galleries, personal work, or just to have a record of any archive folder in your (external) hard drives. Indexprint let you easily preview and catalog groups of images by displaying a series of (small) images on a single or multiple pages.
