Frequency and/or Color Separation

One of the secrets of great image manipulation is to separate images into components. Frequency separation is often mentioned, breaking the image into so-called high-pass and low-pass layers. The high-pass layer separates out the sudden changes in an image and fiddling with this layer can enhance sharpening or even out blemishes. The low-pass layer can be used for smoothing out color transitions. Portrait photographers use this extensively for smoothing skin and removing spots. There is no native Frequency separation tool or filter built into gimp.

Move, Scale, and Rotate using paths as reference

This is a collection of four scripts which help with aligning layers for HDR and mask workflow, as well as simply scaling, moving, or rotating layers.

Embroidery Stitcher

Hi this is my second Script-Fu and it seems a few people liked it so i thought i would post it here at the registry.
It's a SCM script so it will go in your scripts folder.

Just open a image and select the layer you want to work on and go to Filters>Artistic>Embroidery Stitcher.
The script is non interactive, that is to say it just runs with no adjustments (for now), and should work on any layer or image.I may add a stitch width adjustment later.

Also check out the official AnimStack tumblr: http://animstack.tumblr.com/

AnimStack is a collection of tools to simplify creating animations in GIMP. It makes heavy use of Layer Groups, introduced in GIMP 2.8.

A simple example of a problem this script might solve: you have an animation, but you want to put some text on top of it. Normally you would have to add text to every frame manually, but with AnimStack this task is completely automated. AnimStack is perfect for post-processing your GIF animations and adding various simple effects to them.

Layer via Copy/Cut

GIMP 2.8 Python Plugin.
Copy and move the selected area to a new layer in the same position.

This function is similar to the functions with the same names in Photoshop, and more powerful. Unlike them, it can copy/cut content, not just from one layer, but also from the layer groups.
In Photoshop, this is not possible :)

Scale Layer to Image Size

GIMP 2.8 Python Plug-in.
This plug-in scales the contents of the layer (or layer group) to image size.

Installation Instructions:
1. Extract "scale-layer-to-image-size.py" from .zip archive to the ".../.gimp-2.x/plug-ins/" directory.
2. Make sure that the extracted file is executable.
3. If you are already running GIMP, close and reopen it.

BIMP. Batch Image Manipulation Plugin.

BIMP is a graphical batch plugin to apply a set of GIMP manipulations on groups of images.
You can use predefined manipulations like resize, crop, flip, rotate, color correction, sharpen, watermark, format conversion, rename, but you can also select other installed plugins or script-fu and apply them to each image.

Automatic backup of open images

Thanks to 'RobA' who discussed this topic here recently, the Python plug-in 'autosave.py' attracted my attention. My work inspired by it is included below.
What I think is new here from the three existing one, that I know. It has a configuration section and the possibility to stop it, so you can restart with a new purpose (configuration) or not.
