Adaptive saturation curve for LabCurves

Hi folks,

there is an update for LabCurves to have a curve for adaptive (or absolute) saturation adjustments. It is an external 16 bit program which can be semmlessly used from gimp with a python script.

Indexed HSL

This script works just like the HSL adjustment Tool, but on indexed images. (I am using the same calculation Gimp uses.)

While it is relatively simple to convert in indexed image to RGB, use the HSL Tool, then convert back to an indexed image, the drawback is that the image colour index locations aren't preserved, and you need to know how many colours are in the original colormap.

This script provides the same HSL parameters and modifies the individual entries in the colourmap palette without changing the order.

Range Selection Script

The range selection script is a tool for easy and automatic creation of selections and layer masks. The selections or masks include all parts of the image that are situated within a defined range of tonal values, colours, saturation or edges. Selections can be based on one of 16 channels. For detailed instructions and several samples have a look at the attached manual.

Lomo-Gimp

Lomo-Gimp tries to give your digital pictures the warmth of those taken by an old rangefinder analog camera. Think of it as a Kodak Instamatic or a Lomo Holga faking effect. It enhances contrast and saturation, and applies a light and a dark overlay, trying to emulate incorrectness in exposition. Please note this does nothing to emulate the chromatic aberration peculiar in pictures taken using a real Lomo.

Get it at Lomo-Gimp.

BW Labs

This is another script for converting a picture to black & white. The decompose plugin must to be available. The way of converting the picture is rather different than what other plugins do. Two different luminance layers are mixed according to a mask made with a saturation layer. Six different combinations are provided. Functions are available under the menu script-fu/Photography/BW Labs.

D-Dayed

D-Dayed is a script for The GIMP
Makes the image like the over saturated grainy war photos as evoked in the cinematography of films like Saving Private Ryan

Automated dodge and burn

This is an automation script to dodge and burn the highlights and shadows.

Lomo

It tries to replicate lomography effect. It also tries C41 color curves. If someone has better color curve for this. Do tell

Saturation layer

This script allows you to extract and apply saturation to a layer. When you extract, it adds a new layer with the saturation values (in gray colors). You can then use curves, brightness/contrast or the dodge tool to correct saturation. When you are okay with the adjustements you can put back the saturation by applying it.

It installs itself in < script-fu >/Saturation.

Comments inside the script are in french.

Saturation Fix

Saturation Fix for restoring clipped colour channels.

Guide to Using the Saturation Fix Script

After you download the script to your scripts folder and refresh your scripts (Filters -> Script-Fu –> Refresh Scripts), you'll find the new script in the menu under Script-Fu> Darla –> Saturation Fix.
