Film Grain

This script adds a realistic film grain effect to a black and white or toned image. To install, copy the attached file to GIMP/share/gimp/2.0/scripts. The larger the file you are running it on, the larger the value you should have for Strength. The value for Sharpness depends on your preferences, but I usually start at 1 and go from there. The lower the value, the sharper the noise.

Sprocket Hole Script

This script simulates complete exposed 35mm film strips with frame numbers, lettering, overexposed sprocketholes and DX film edge barcodes .
Copy it into the scripts folder from gimp, you will find it then under Filters -> Decor -> Photo with Sprocketholes. DX1 and DX2 numbers can be encrypted here.
Here is another example.

Update1: Optional sprocket hole shade thanks to Frank Ludwig.
Update2: New menu entry from Debian. Now under Filters -> Decor.

First Photo Border Script for GIMP 2.4

This script simulates the cut-off of the first picture of a film roll of cheap cameras like Lomo. Role model was this picture from flickr.
Copy it into the scripts folder from gimp, you will find it then under Filters -> Generic -> Photo Border.
The 'Shift' option moves the cut-off-circle about a percentage of width. 'Radius' changes the size of this circle in multiples of height and 'Border Distance' the distance of the border in percentage of height. Just try some values and see the result.
An example can be seen here:

Any suggestions for improvements are highly appreciated.

Film Grain Script for GIMP 2.4

This is a script which simulates the typical film grain of high ISO pictures. I scripted exactly this description. Copy it into the scripts folder from gimp, you will find it then under Filters -> Generic -> Film Grain. Holdness and Value are two options directly taken from HSV-Noise, Strength changes the amount and area of grey, which will turn grainy.
Another examples can be found here and here:

It works together with colored and greyscaled pictures.
