Glass or Bevel

Creates a pretty simple (yet cool) smooth glass or bevel effect. Can work with alpha/mask contour as well as selection. Have fun!

P.S.: Sorry for the awkward plugin name. Couldn't make up anything better.

Example:

History:
v1.03: The "Gloss Contrast" parameter added
v1.02: Smoothness = 0 was not possible
v1.01: Fixed working with mask contours
v1.0: Initial release

MLBevelReflect

input: white object on black background
output: beveled object reflecting specified probe image

I only compiled a windows binary (see attachment).

Selection bevel

New version of selection bevel released. Bugs of the last version have been fixed, and additionally a new feature added: now you can adjust the width and height of the bevel independently, creating neat effects where the bevel is thinner on some edges, or uneven.

Volume Express..for simple tiles

This script-fu (created mainly from the script "add-bevel.scm" which is installed by default) adds to an existing layer, a layer composed of squares or rectangles (size of your choice) in shades of gray but with bevels. The goal is to facilitate the creation of pavements with a little "volume". arfff. Difficult to explain -_-'

You can find "00 - Volume Express..for simple tiles" in Filters>2D Isometric-Fu>

A picture is better than a thousand explanations:

Layer Effects

This is a series of scripts that implement various layer effects:

  • Drop Shadow
  • Inner Shadow
  • Outer Glow
  • Inner Glow
  • Bevel and Emboss
  • Satin
  • Color Overlay
  • Gradient Overlay
  • Pattern Overlay
  • Stroke

Some effects can have contours (a.k.a. curves) and noise added to them. Effects can either be applied on a separate layer, or be merged into the active layer (which in some cases gives better results).

Tested with GIMP 2.4.2.
