The registry just experienced some downtime, because a DNS update was misconfigured during a site-move. I am very sorry about that, but couldn't really do anything about it because we had a time-limit for the move.
I hope everything is back to normal now -- a couple of software updates were also made at the same time, so problems might occur. Let me know in the comments if you see anything. Thank you for understanding (which I hope you do...).
GIMP 2.8 Python Plugin.
This plugin allows you to place a layer in the rectangular selected area. The selected area can be of arbitrary rectangular shape.
1. Extract "place-layer-into-selection.py" from .zip archive to the ".../.gimp-2.x/plug-ins/" directory.
2. Make sure that the extracted file is executable.
3. If you are already running GIMP, close and reopen it.
Revisiting the concept of creating and using Luminosity Masks in GIMP. This script-fu will generate a full set of Light, Dark, and Midtone masks as channels for your image (based on the work of Tony Kuyper originally).
Update: Now available as gnu linux source in google code too!
This is a C language version of the Insane Bump plugin. At this point I have just converted the Python code to a C language program and all the needed libraries and tools to do so. I will immediately be improving upon this program in the next few days. This is just the first release.
This plug-in produces different files within the original image's directory:
the _n is the normal map,
the _s is the specular,
the _d is the diffusion (just the color)
the _a is the ambient occlusion
