The registry is still being targeted by spammers - this is evident by re-enabling user registrations, and requiring admin approval to activate the accounts. The site would be drowned in spam in no time again...
Fishing out the few legit account registrations seems to be largely impossible, too - Drupal (at least in the version used here) doesn't really offer any sophisticated user registration handling.
as you can see, the registry is getting flooded by soccer stream spam again and again - I'm having user registration suspended for the time being. This won't stop the spammer scum that already registered from creating some more spam posts, but will at least give us a chance to catch up to them when deleting it.
This script is a filter trying to imitate the effect of Clarity slider. This is in essence USM (Unsharp Mask) masked to be effective only in midtones. For best results try large radius values (100 or above).
As currently file uploads don't seem to work, download from (remove spaces):
sourceforge . net /projects/johnlakgimp/files/Clarity/clarity_filter_v1.0.zip/download
Copy the .scm file into:
Windows XP and older:
c:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\.gimp-2.8\scripts
Found the plug-in layer-info.py, at http://registry.gimp.org/node/26317, interesting.
To make it more useful, now it can generate some information beside viewing.
The additions are:
1) viewing and adding text explanations (date, etc...), about the layer, in a layer parasite
2) plug-in auto quit if no layer or initial image
3) permitting internationalization in 'user' folders (more text)
4) only one launch at a time
With this script you can generate a effect with your text layer that looks like the effect of the text on the trademark of the 20th Century Fox movie company.
It is based on the Bump project script that is already in the standard GIMP. When started, it will generate the effect searching the center of the image.
You can adapt
the number of layers, it will make the tail behind the chracters longer,
the horizontal and vertical shrink per layer, it will determine the speed of shrinking
The plugin can be downloaded here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpoutils/ as the zip file. Must be compiled and installed. The jpeg files saved inside mpo file are compressed with 90% quality. This should be sufficient for 3D images. If not, let me know.
tileimages.scm -- Put n*m same sized images onto one image in n columns & m rows with optional padding, grid lines, bounding box, rounded corners and feathered edge.
If there aren't n*m images passed, the last image is repeated until n*m positions are filled.
This is useful for just passing one image, which will be tiled for all n*m positions.
If there are more images passed, only the first n*m are used.
