Quick advice on image stitching...

Hi,

New here. GIMP 2.4.5 on Ubuntu Hardy. I'd like to do automatic panoramic image stitching, but finding it hard to find something that works well. Any suggestions? Something planned for GIMP itself maybe? The existing plugin isn't automatic I understand.

there is a panorama plugin (i believe from Akkana Peck) But the most used and advanced tool is maybe Hugin (available for all OS...is not a plugin but another program)
