Found it again - doh!

I hit ctrl+l and there it was!

omg i could never find how to get my layer box back and ctrl+l works with the new gimp too!!!

Interesting. What do people

Interesting. What do people think of when trying to get the layers dialog back?

I mean, it is 

a) in the menus

b) in the user manual

and these are the first location I do search in such cases, for any software.

show layers

Where in the menus do you find this? I am using gimp 2.6.6 and I cannot find a "Show Layers" menu item.
