Does GIMP open and edit Sony raw files (extension .AWR)?
Looks like u need the "UFRaw"-plugin.

lists "Sony DSLR-A350" as supported... Try converting your RAW-File
via commandline first.
If that works, then the GIMP-Plugin is faulty
If not, complain here
