There are already several plugins to creates paths with geometrical shapes, but they all require tedious entry of numbers in some dialog.

So this plugin uses a radically different method: the significant points are entered as points in a path stroke, and then the plugin us called without any explicit parameters (there is a menu entry for each shape/interpretation of the path, so they can be assigned to a keyboard shortcut).

The following shapes are available so far:

- a circle given a center and a point on the circle (if more points: more concentric circles)
- a circle given two points on a diameter (if more points: more circles with a common point)
- a circle from three points
- a regular polygon given the center, one vertex and approximate positioning of other vertices (only their count is used)
- a regular polygon given the center, the middle of one side a vertex and approximate positioning of other apothems (only their count is used)
- a regular polygon from a side, and approximate positioning of other sides (only their count is used)
- a rectangle given its diagonal
- a rounded rectangle given its diagoal and the radius of the corners
- a star given the center, the tip of one spike, one dent, and approximate positioning of other spikes (only their count is used)
- a double star given a center, the tip of one spike, one dent, one secondary spike, and approximate positioning of other spikes (only their count is used)
