How do I create arrows using GIMP 2.6?

I am trying to use GIMP to create maps of an alternate history, especially the voyages of discovery. As part of this, I want to use arrows to show which direction the explorers went, but I do not know how to download the arrow file, which is the only one I know. Can someone help me?

Download this zip file

Download this zip file - and unzip to another folder.
Place the python file in your plugins folder.
If you are using Linux the python file needs to be allowed to be executable and placed in the
lib\gimp\2.0\plugins folder

Restart Gimp and the Filter will be listed at the top of your image window as
Extensions>Plugins-Python>Tools>Arrows Creator
