Error message executing the script

I have installed the Color Decompose (For B&W Conversions) script found here http://registry.gimp.org/node/27745 of Pat David, but i get the following error:

Execution error for 'Color Decompose':
Error: eval: unbound variable: gimp-item-set-name

followed by

Plug-In 'Color Decompose' left image undo in inconsistent state, closing open undo groups.

I use Gimp 2.6.8 under Ubuntu 10.04.

Who can help me out?

It works with GIMP 2.8 only

It works with GIMP 2.8 only, although, 2.6 was originally listed.
