I uninstalled GIMP 2.8 so I could fix something on it, and when I went to re-install it, it gets around halfway through the installation process and then does this:
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins\twain.exe
An error occurred while trying to create a file in the destination directory:
Setup was unable to create the directory: "C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins\twain.exe".
Error 5: Access is denied.
Click retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or abort to cancel installation.
1) Whenever I click Ignore or Retry, it doesn't even go on, it immediately pops the error back up.
2) Yes, I am downloading it from the real website, I've even tried using the C-NET download (which I assume to be the same...) and nothing works.
3) I've tried to Google the answer and what pops up is stuff about a scanner. I have NEVER scanned anything using this computer (laptop), and I've never needed to for GIMP.
I know it has something to do with deleting or adding or something with a plug-in...
Need help, ASAP.. Thanks.
