I have been asked to reformat my jpegs to 3,000 by 3,000 pixels and resolution of 300 dpi. How do I do this..by the way, I know it's free, but I love it so much I bought the CD.

If you've been asked to change your jpgs resolution for making prints (300 dpi hints on that), you can do it in Image>Print_ Size>Set_Image_Print_Resolution. Change image's dpi. But, there is no pixel units, so you might want to ask them what size in typographical units corresponds to 3K x 3K pixels image size.
