I have installed newest version of GIMP - 2.8.0, tried to run, but the Windows showed up me the error message, the libgimpui-2.0-0.dll cannot be found. But have looked to the bin folder, and it's here... Should it to be on another place? I'm sure not...
Tried to re-install the prog, but without success...
I want to convert my TGA file into PNG, by simply using GIMP. My previous version was uninstalled by the 2.8 installer, but I wanted to keep it. Anyway, I want to try the new version, how the 2.8 works... My destination folder is D:\Program Files\GIMP 2.0\ while driver D: doesn't host system files in WINDOWS folder (eg. it's not a system partition)...
Is there any solution?
I was having the same problem
I was having the same problem with Zlib1.dll.
The fix is simple, go to you Gimp directory, (right-click the icon Open File Location) and search for the file, libgimpui-2.0-0.dll, that cannot be found.
Copy it and past it in your Windows/System32 directory and try starting Gimp again.
I did that for the Zlib1.dll and now I can start Gimp version 2.8.
Thank you
Thank you for the advice, it's working now, but have some problems with file exportings: It shows only buttons "Help", "Export" and "Cancel"... Nothing more... Tried to make animated GIF, but without the GIF options I'm unable to export layers as animation frames... I'm sending you a screenshot, how the export dialog may look like and how it looks like on my computer...
#1 - It may look like that...
#2 - This is what it shows to me...
