Hi and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
I recently downloaded and installed gimp. Feed up with the high cost of updating a program (you know the one) that continues to get worse and worse. I thought I would give it a try.
I have an image, (jpg) created in psp, cs2 that I use as a template for a particular graphic base that I use over and over again.
When I open it and try to use the font, in this case "Academy Engraved Let," the font displays improperly in on the image. Example letters over lapping or spaces in-between characters where there should not be.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but this doesn't seem to help. (I'm running windows 7)
Can anyone help me with this? Also is there a way to dock the tools and color pallets to the main window? Working with three separate windows is driving me crazy! I just can't stand it.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Academy Engraved Let works
Academy Engraved Let works for me, using Gimp 2.6 on Linux. Are you using a specific phrase? Or can you post the resulting image somewhere?
As to the windows, Gimp 2.8 has a single-window mode (see Edit/Preferences) but even in 2.6 you can "dock" the utility windows in each other so you can have one window for your image and one for all the utilities.
