Uploading & Creating?

G'day all.

Okay so, I've discovered GIMP a very long time ago and just yesterday, I decided to make my account here. I really am a big fan of graphics, and I'd like someone to please tell me how can I get to create my own graphics immediately? Which button to press? Where to search? Where to upload?

Just please tell me the location of where I can start because I honestly have no idea where to start a new graphic. You could somehow tell me like this:

LEFT SIDE > LOG OUT

I'm just really excited to get to use this new thing and I hope it works.
