EPS extraction

How do you extract the images from an EPS file? I have no problem opening them but I can't seem to find a way or a plugin that will enable me to extract the layers from the image...as it only shows a single layer that IS the image...

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

You need Ghostscript and then a helpful companion (Ghostview) will help you extract the layers inside a postscript file. Ghostscript is open source (i.e., free). You can use Ghostview for personal use. :)
