How do I create an embossed line while keeping my original color.

I had someone create the image below for me and I cant recreate the puffy paint looking lines below (in brown and blue), I am working on another project and can't seem to make anything work. Emboss makes it silver, a plugin I downloaded from here makes the color metallic looking.

Can anyone help?

Try using the bumpmap option under the Emboss filter (Filters - Distort - Emboss), but it helps to have your area you want raised to be selected before running the filter, otherwise you'll need to remove the grey background it creates.

thanks, i tried it and it keeps my color...i just have to have a very LOW depth...

gawsh im surprised at how easy that was and how many times i tried it but didnt click on the bumpmap.
