Why plug-ins are inactive?

I installed GIMP 4 days ago, now Im trying to use some plug-ins. Both of them (GMIC, FreeType) appeared in the menu, but they are inactive, so I cannot press them. I've tried to put plug-ins in main (Program Files\...\plug-ins) or share (Documents and settings\...\plug-ins) folders, OS Windows XP. But that doesn't work( What's wrong? Please, help (((
