I'm wandering how I can make a gif from from a youtube vid? I only want to use about 30 or so seconds of it but I'm not sure how I go about doing this, I have the video saved on my desktop as an .avi file where do I go from here?
I'm running windows vista and using gimp 2.6.2.

I don't know how do it with Gimp, but for Win U can use VidGif from geovid.com. Try it, it has an easy interface and a high quality results !!!
