GIMP Plugin Registry

Today I discovered the refocus-it plugin. I think this plugin could be great to modify a picture that appears to be slightly out of focus. If I'm not mistaken the plugin dates from July 2004. The plugin doesn't have much documentation. I wonder if people have experience usong it, and - if so - I'd like to read how it was.
