I can't download ANYTHING

So every time I try to download something no pop-up appears. Only a new window with loads of text. What am I doing wrong??

If you're using Firefox, then right-click the link and select "Save Link As..." If you're using Internet Explorer, then right-click the link and select "Save Target As..." There are options that you can change so that left-clicking the file will download it instead of displaying it. I'm not sure where those options are.
