Script to resize and save the current image

I found batch scripts, but I want more flexibility:

First I would like to do some processing (crop, color), depending on the image.

Finally I would like to automate the process of:
- rescaling to 900x450 pixels
- saving as jpg (quality 80)

Please advice.

search for "David Batch Processor" For even more flexibiity you may use ImageMagick (from command line) or in Windows the batch options of Xnview that offer a graphic interface (Xnview is free but not GPL see www.xnview.com)
