Indexprint plugin

This is all new to me, so I appogize if I have missed something obvious.

I believe I have followed the directions, downloaded and rebooted numerous times to install the indexprint plugin.

When i open the file menu, I have the option to select the indexprint. But, when I select Indexprint, nothing happens...

Is there something I have missed?
Thank you

I assume you downloaded v3 of indexprint/contactsheet?

You placed the index-plugin.py in the plugin directory and also you placed the complete folder indexprint in the plugin directory not the content!! The .mo file isn't necessary unless you want a dutch translation.

You have Gimp 2.6, pyhton 2.6 and at least GTK+ 2.16 working?

If all questions are yes the plugin schould work on a WinXP machine but......... I installed the plugin on a fresh installed computer and ... nothing happens. So you have missed nothing, I have to figure out why, so be patient.

In the meantime you can install v2.13 from my website or v2.12 from node 120.

(edit)
Just discovered it's not the source but it has something to do with the system: not reading xml files or something else.

(edit)
It has something to do with python. After making the python directory on the not working system equal to the one on the working system indexprint works as aspected. Now searching for: what is missing.

Yes, I believe I have installed all of the above. Of course it is on my work computer and I won't be back there until Tuesday. If the problem has not been figured out by then, I will definately try installing the other version. Thank you for your help.

I have done a lot and the following gives for me a good result on a fresh "WinXP pro SP3" system.

Started with a fresh system I did the following:
1. installed Pyhton 2.6.6 (yes that's a new one)
2. restart system
3. installed pycairo-1.8.6-py26 (http://www.pygtk.org/downloads.html)
4. installed pygobject-2.20.0-py26
5. installed pygtk-2.16-0+glade.win32-py26 (this one differs from the installation notes there are two versions of it: one with and one without glade, use the one with glade: http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/binaries/win32/pygtk/2.16/)
6. restart system
7. installed gimp 2.6.10
8. installed indexprint v3
9. copy "libglade-2.0-0.dll" to the system32 folder of windows (http://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/libglade/2.6/ or search it on your system)
9. restart system
10. enjoy indexprint

Indexprints works for me. I hope it works for you too.

I have already updated the indexprint page at http://registry.gimp.org/node/24503

PS
You can start with reinstalling "pygtk-2.16-0+glade.win32-py26" and copying "libglade-2.0-0.dll" to the system32 folder without installing the other stuff. If it still not works you should start from the beginning.

Finally able to get some time here and reinstall it all, and it works. Thank you very much!
