.pic file format in GIMP?

hi all!
i searched as hard as i could but there seems to be no way to open .pic-files in GIMP!
i mean this .pic-format --> http://softimage.wiki.softimage.com/index.php/INFO:_PIC_file_format

does anybody know of such a plug-in?

hm, no such thing...
where are the supported file formats stored? i was looking for a PS-style "FileFormats"-folder but GIMP seems to handle that differently... can someone point me in the right direction?

thanks but i want GIMP to open that files not some other software converting them
