I'm an idiot, and really just learning how to use everything. The need has come up to convert some of my logos and images into Vector Images. Is there a plug in or a way to do this with GIMP? Something simple and idiot proof is best.
GIMP is a (Bitmap) Raster format program and can't convert raster images into vectors. You can import images into Inkscape and convert them into vectors in SVG format.
GIMP does have a way to export SVG vector files but just outlines using Paths. Go to the paths dialogue and export the paths as SVG file. Only monochromatic though. :)
