Hello,
I downloaded the latest version of GIMP (2.8.0) and have been using it for a little while. I have exported a PNG with transparency before, but something changed, and now it will not give me any options in the PNG dialog box. It is just a small box with three buttons: Help, Export, and Cancel. (This is after selecting the file and filetype and clicking Export).
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no change. Using Windows 7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I understand that the export types are handled by plugins (except XCF), and I thought maybe something happened to my plugin somehow, but I can't find a replacement to download.
Thank you! I have spent hours trying to resolve this and I'm exasperated!

You are likely missing a file
I don't remember exactly how the Gimp installation tree looks undr Windows (somewhere in c:\Progam Files\Gimp\...) but you should have somewhere a file in share/gimp/2.0/ui/plug-ins/plug-in-file-png.ui
If its missing you have to reinstall (or find a copy to restore back...)
A reinstall has already been
A reinstall has already been attempted, according to the reporter. I wonder how a missing file could survive that... a corrupt one, especially with a recent modification time, might though.
