Recommended plugin

I want to know what plugin if any needed, I should install if I want similar behavior like photoshop.

For example I want tosave pictures form my camera so they do not weight 4MB so it will easier to upload them and send them.

I need any plugin that Recommended for website builder.

(I hope that I am on the right forum and if I am not, I like to have link to right place)
By the way, where I can ask questions about GIMP ?

If you're referring to Photoshop's Save for web, there is a similar plugin for GIMP http://registry.gimp.org/node/33.
Also check out RIOT (standalone and GIMP plugin) for batch processing.
