eg copyright

In the new version of "eg copyright" (may 4, 2012) revised to be used in Gimp 2.8.x, I have noticed that, in order to have the text printed in white, you have to select "black" and vice-versa. My OS is windows 7-64 bits. This did not occur with the previous 2.6.12 edition. Although I use "eg copyright" quite often, this detail doesn't affect me to a great extent...

Hi

Your mailbox is full, no mail contact is possible ...

Sorry, I can not reproduce this behavior with Gimp 2.8.2 on Linux or Windows 7 (32-bit), both are working correctly. Strange. Will keep in mind to test for Gimp 2.10.

regards, Eg

with Gimp2.8.2 - script works as it's supposed to. There must be something else causing this strange behavior.

Hi eg,
Sorry I made you waste your time trying to get in touch with me: did you use my former address by any chance ? Although I have repeatedly asked them to remove it and use instead, there still seems to be a problem there. Anyway, as long as I don't forget to choose "black" instead of "white", there's no problem...Maybe I am too much of a perfectionist... I have been a keen user of your various plug-ins for some time (gimp 2.4 then 2.6) without this slight inconvenience and it just appeared when I installed your updated versions for 2.8. I don't think 64 bits has anything to do with it and I'll just wait for 2.10 ! Excellent job you are doing anyway ! Regards, gpzt alias Guy Poizat

Hi again,
Being stubborn can be beneficial. No sooner had I sent my last message that I remembered I still had in store the "old" egger-copyright (7 Ko) and I decided to give it a try in my brand new GIMP 2.8.2. installed on my PC (windows 7-64 bits).
As you know, windows 7 has three Program Files: Program Files(x86), Program Files and Programmes (in french). I decided to install egger-copyright following the classical path: C:\Programmes\Gimp 2\share\gimp\2.0\scripts\egger-copyright and it works perfectly: white is white, gray is gray and black is black ! In spite of all the inconvenience, I hope this information will be helpful. Best regards, gpzt guypoizat@hotmail.com
