Why don't scripts work

For some reason I can not install scripts. I put them in the following locations:
C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\scripts
C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts

None of which results in any new options appearing. What am I doing wrong? Can it be that the scm files are outdated - I got these two from this very site:
- advancedtonemapping.scm
- DRI_from_3_images.scm

Help, please.

PS. I am working with 2.6.11

First one: not good.
Second one is oke. But you have to restart Gimp to make the script appear somewhere in the menus.
Third one: not good

Putting scripts in your second option means everybody will find that script in his/her menu's.

Other option is to put your script into: C:\Users\Roy\Documents\.Gimp-2.6\scripts. Script is now only available to you.

After installing you will find the scripts in the filter tab.

If you put the scripts in the single user location (suggested by E. Sullock Enzlin) C:\Users\Roy\Documents\.Gimp-2.6\scripts you need to remove the same scripts from the global location at C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts or they will conflict with one another and cause you more grief.

Yes. The second options works indeed. I tried it with one of the scripts and expected it to show up in Filter/Enhance as the code says, but it ended up in the translated (to dutch) menu: Filters/Versterken. I did not look good enough until you convinced it had to work.

Thank you!
